Lithium
7Li is a new proxy for intensity of chemical weathering and therefore useful to determine the times of soil formation. MIS 3 soils have been documented in many loess profiles, but the exact timing and duration of soil formation during the last 60,000 years will be addressed in a cooperation with the University of Wollongong, Tony Dosseto and Leo Rothacker.
